16. MaltaSong: Topsy Turvy JANVIL returned to the Maltese national final with 'Topsy Turvy', a quirky entry with a polished choreography. The tune was composed by an international team made up of Andrew Zahra, Niall Mooney and Jonas Gladnikoff to the lyrics penned by Deo Grech and Natasha Turner. JANVIL, known also as the Maltese showman, managed to team up with one of Malta's finest vocalists, Leontine as well as the Irish Eurovision 2005 singer, Donna McCaul for the live performance. The stage-performance looked like a 3-minutes musical with the singer, dancers and vocalists interacting with each other continuously. It ranked 10th in the Maltese finals, however it was commonly referred to as a 'potential winner' by the festival critics who posted their reviews on several online and printed media. |
